About Aeryn Lynne
Aeryn went to York University in Toronto for a degree in English (not knowing what she wanted out of life.) This is where she found her soul-mate and a penchant for what is now known as “Social Media”; though back then it was termed something like “the emerging global communal infrastructure of the Internet.”

After two years through university, she switched to Seneca College (at the Seneca@York campus) and studied under the Digital Media Arts umbrella for website design.

Today she is actively developing graphics and websites as a freelancer when she’s not twittering, facebooking or writing for ChickTalk dot CA.

Okay, not so much chronicle yet…  We’re getting there; that’s the whole reason for this blog anyway.

Hello, if you haven’t guessed yet, I’m Aeryn Lynne.  Let me welcome you to ChickTalk dot CA!

I’m here, because I like internet things like blogs and event listings and shopping and all the crazy stuff that’s generating on a daily basis.

So this blog, it’ll have shopping announcements, primarily Canadian and more specifically Torontonian, though if worthwhile they’ll span to online shops too; same goes for events.  The two can almost go hand in hand; as most of the events I go to have to do with shopping in some way.

I’m also a geek, so anything geekery will show up here at some point.  There’s already a listing for Open Source softwares, which is one of my favourite things to look for online; expect that to be updated frequently.

I’ve started a twitter account for this site, if you wish to follow, just look up chicktalk.

And finally on browsing:  If you’re using IE 6.0, well, I’m sorry for how this site looks.  I have to borrow my husband’s computer to get a glimpse, and I realise it’s nothing pretty.  If you have Firefox, that seems to be the best bet (along with Google Chrome), followed by IE 7.0.  If you’re one of the few using IE 8.0, let me know if there are any glaring difficulties with this site.  I haven’t downloaded that browser, and as you’re only allowed one version on your computer at a time (unless you create a virtual setting, which I’m not about to do,) I’m sticking with IE 7.0 which is the marginally more popular browser of the Explorers.
