Here’s a list of open source software (OSS) that I’ve tested and felt worthy of sharing. OSSs are developed voluntarily by programmers for public use, usually with highly laxed copyright laws. Essentially, you won’t have Microsoft banging on your door for installing these products, and usually OSS packages are just as good in quality.
